Akiko Tattoo

Origin Story

Cristina (aka Superstea) graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication in Bucharest, Romania and had been working in a news television for eight years. Whilst she loved her job, she was spending hundred of hours looking at tattoos. She started to collect them, but she felt like no artist in her city was colourful enough. When she finally had the chance to see how a coil machine worked and touch the skin with the needle, she absolutely loved it and decided to give it a try with a main purpose of becoming the most colourful artist. Despite the fact that she had no artistic background, she took drawing classes and started tattooing on friends as a hobby. In less than a year, she built up a solid client base and was able to quit her job in television. She tries to stay away from the cliche bucket and the fashionable meaningless tattoos and focuses on developing her own unique style.
